RhinoTerrain, developed by RhinoTerrain SARL, is a professional terrain and point‑cloud modeling add‑on for Rhinoceros 3D. It enables surveyors, civil engineers, GIS specialists, and urban planners to turn LiDAR and photogrammetry data into accurate digital terrain and surface models. Core capabilities include importing large point clouds; building TIN surfaces with breaklines; generating contours, grids, DTM/DSM outputs; and draping orthophotos or other imagery for textured terrain.
The software provides tools for cleaning data, enforcing constraints, and refining surfaces, along with analysis features for slopes, aspects, profiles, sections, and cut/fill volume calculations. Integrated directly within Rhino, it lets users combine terrain with broader 3D design workflows, leverage Rhino’s drafting and visualization, and automate processes through scripting.
